Configure Outlook

LDAP Setup - Windows - Outlook 2003

Click on the Tools menu.
Select E-mail Accounts… from the drop-down list.
Select the Add a new directory or address book option.
Click the Next button.
Select Internet Directory Service (LDAP) and click the Next button.
Type in the Server Name field.
Click the More Settings… button.
Ignore the warning that pops up reminding you to restart Outlook. Click OK to close the warning pop-up window.
Fill in the correct port. In our case 700.
Click the Search tab.
Type ou=Contactlist,dc=domain,dc=com in the Search base field.
Click the OK button.
Click the Next button and then Finish to exit the setup window.
Remember to close Microsoft Outlook and reopen it again before trying out the new settings.

How to use LDAP in Outlook 2003
Click the New button to create a new email.
Click the To… button.
Select from the drop list on the upper right side.
Click the Advanced button and then select the Find… option.
Type in the name you are searching for.
Select the Contains option.
Click the OK button to begin the search (Results will be displayed in a new window.)
Highlight the person you want.
If it is an address you will be using frequently, you may want to add it to your personal address book. You can do this by right clicking on the person you want to add and selecting Add to Personal Address Book.
If you wish to email the person found, choose the To, Cc, or Bcc button as required.
Click the OK button (This will display a new email form page with this address filled in.)

On some outlook configuration ldap search didn't work

When typing a name in to: field outlook didn't lookup in the ldap server.
To fix this I had to remove and reinstall Outlook Address Book
